Sourdough

Starting a sourdough starter requires planning and patience. Even when you have been making bread for years, I am always a little challenged by the effort of creating a starter and waiting for the many chemical processes to work its magic on the flour and water.

But it is always worth it. Satisfying to watch the dough grow and respond to the warm air. Exciting to smell the dough baking. And loved ones enjoying the final product. Butter and honey is a family favourite.

Sourdough is good for you. It is slow to make. Here is the basic recipe from Moro.
