We live in an old home. The last 18 months has seen many small restoration projects, many of which were long overdue. Painting, fixing, revealing a former glory. The house has a new lease of life and so do we. But I have bee struck by how many homes become unloved and neglected. Often it is not intentional, however it makes me wonder about the life that entered these spaces and made it a place to call home. Driving in regional Victoria this summer has opened my eyes to so many small buildings falling into loveless states, groaning under the weight of an overgrown garden and failing structures. Each one still exudes a beauty all of its own…..I hope to collect a few of these images. This particular one was captured on a day when the clouds were amazing, the grass dry and golden.
