More celebrations continued on our arrival home from holidays. My father’s birthday is 2 days after Bella’s so we shared a meal and cake with them both. Several days later Bella was also fortunate enough to have 2 friends over for a play and”afternoon tea”. Not a party this time but tea. In particular the much talked about and celebrated “kinder” friend Daniel. We made necklaces with fruit loop – I swear the best spent $3!
This week has been a bit crazy with A back at work and the roller coaster of medicine and effectively running your own business. This has coincided with me returning to work and the logistics of childcare and leaving my “baby”. Lily cried for a tiny bit, but was fine. When I arrived to pick her up she was painting!
On a sad note Heath Ledger died and the stock markets around the globe are going crazy with major falls. One must trust God in all this craziness.
I must remember to bring cake tins and ingredients on family holidays. This is the second chocolate ripple cake Isabella has had – this time a butterfly. Without an electric beater in the holiday house I chose to try that truly awful cream in a can…….it loses its fluff in minutes. So here it is…..nothing a few lollies cannot hide!
Isabella has loved her presents. Note AA the fabulous Charlie and Lola book which has been a hit with the whole family. Lily recognised it from the spine as Bella unwrapped it. Thanks for all the love from the family/friends and Uncles and Aunts.
We have known these guys for many years….pre-children in fact. We managed to swim lots and eat out too. We visited the much publicised The Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkeld. Good food and particularly great kid’s meals.
This is A taking a much needed rest in a local park after lunch. And below is a photo Maddy took of Lily and me.
We now have 2 days alone before we take off to the beach for a much needed rest.
