Ideas for the school holidays

A good friend re-introduced me to these great little beads. They are produced by various companies and most toy shops and art/craft places seem to stock them. The children love them. They can create great shapes to use as jewellery, ornaments and fun keepsakes. And such a good activity for promoting concentration and fine motor skills.

The only catch is that this activity requires some parental supervision at the end. Using baking paper, you iron over the top of the finished product. And the beads all bond together and you simply peel it off.
What new activity have you discovered for your children these holidays?
